Designed to be easy to use on the course, handegolf Tour is simple enough for any person to navigate. A few taps on the screen and players can track their own scores, as well as the scores of their competitors, in real time.
In addition to its Real-Time Leaderboard, the handegolf Tour Handheld Scorecard keeps score automatically and tracks statistics, while offering the many other handy features described below. With every step, the screens that appear on the PalmOS® PDA are designed to be attractively presented, easy to view and understand, and easy to navigate.
Real-Time Leaderboard
A Real-Time Leaderboard is
available for every event and can be easily viewed by golfers on the
course. By simply tapping a button on the Handheld Scorecard,
golfers can check their standings in the event. The leaderboard can
be configured to display any supported tournament format (26 stroke play
and match play formats, individual or team competition;

Automatic Scoring
No more math on the course, because handegolf Tour automatically scores
both Individual Stroke Play as well as the tournament format being played.
Handicaps are supported, so golfers can tap their gross scores for the
hole into the handheld scorecard and handegolf Tour calculates the rest.
Speed up play and eliminate mistakes with automatic scoring.
Statistics Tracking
Tracking statistics is a snap with handegolf Tour. Just like in professional
events, individual statistics can help improve your game as well as foster
the spirit of competition between golfers.
Score Summary
Instantly view all of your
scoring information from the Handheld Scorecard. This information
includes your individual scores for the round and tournament (gross
and net). If a team competition is underway, your team score will be
displayed as well.
Configurable Views for Scores
Configure
the Handheld Scorecard to display the scoring information as you see
fit. You can view your individual scores or your team scores so that
you immediately know your status after entering your score for the
hole. Also, you can choose to view your scores for the round or
cumulative scores for the tournament.
Electronic Signature
After the round, sign
your card electronically to attest the scores for the pairing.
Validations for "outstanding hole and round scores" are performed as
an additional check for accuracy.
On-Course Sponsor Message
Display a
tournament sponsor message to golfers every time scores are sent to
the leaderboard.

Portability
The handegolf Tour handheld scorecard
runs on any PalmOS® compatible
Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and is a portable device. The handheld
scorecards can easily be carried in a golf bag or in a pocket. This portability
provides scoring information anywhere on the course!
Economy of Scale
The PalmOS® PDA is a popular
device for many applications. Because the device is so functional, the
cost of the device can potentially be shared across many applications.
Also, the platform is widely accepted and therefore costs are inexpensive
(and declining) when compared to hardware dedicated to an application
(like on-cart GPS).
Full Automation
Tournament organizers no longer need to manually enter scores after the
round, because the handegolf Tour desktop and handheld
scorecard are fully integrated. With the touch of a button, hole-by-hole
scores and statistics for each player are transferred from the handheld
scorecard and stored in the handegolf Tour desktop database.
